Old: Basswerk Files #17 is a deep EP by Zak FX and Violentbreakz under their new moniker "Particular". Opening with a heavy intro and the dark and epic "Daydream" (unfortunately Beatport prelistening snip doesnt play the intro), they also deliver "Nanotube", a very straight roller with distorted Bass samples and "Schattenfunk". Also watch out for their smasher "Praying Mantis" on the upcoming "Basswerk 33" (as a flip to Dizplay). And, as they always think of the music lovers not being able to buy regularily on the internet, they also come up with a free release called "Hybrid", which you can get here (if you dont see it, click: read more):

Dizplay returns home to Basswerk by combining Neurofunk with minimal Electronic music, very stylish and he is heading to become the Trentemoller of Drum & Bass! Particular from Cologne (Violentbreakz + Zak FX) debut with their biggest floor smasher so far, neuropunky!

Breakcore - Jungle - Jump Up - Darkstep - Oldschool , words can hardly describe this collection of dancefloor tunes by newcomer DJ Filibration from Koblenz/Germany. He is also featured on an upcoming Basswerk Limited #001 Vinyl with 2 more tracks + on the Knowledge Mix-Cd mixed by The Green Man in September's Knowledge issue. Filibration is a party DJ with rave skills from DJ'ing in Bremen and knows how to rock. His tracks up to now seem to be either some kind of dark and hard jungle/ breakcore or pure jump up.

We noticed that in many shops the new CD is only available as a whole. Sorry for that, this was not our intention, the idea was to offer every song as single file and then offer rebates for every single CD - so that someone that only wants CD2 can buy it at a reduced price. Also, in mp3 shops, the prices are menat to be 3 Cds at the price of 2 as a download (but if you manage to get the physical CD, thats normally about the same price and includes the booklet). At the moment, single file buying is possible at Beatport and also at our own shop and also very soon at Juno. Our stuff is now delivered through a company called finetunes to all these shops and most shops have to wait until they get the updated information from them in order to change their settings.

In August, fate decided we make 2 parties! On August 9th, Chris SU is coming into Gebäude 9 and there youll also see Cologne DJ Debut of DJ Filibration, who delivered stuff for a mysterious upcoming vinyl + a Basswerk Files release. On August 16th, well meet Quake and Hospital during the c/o pop Festival..with guest DJ Cyantific at Bogen2. Also, there will be a guest appearance of The Green Man @ Breakzone Open Air Sa 2.8. around 20.30.

Due to a cooperation change, Basswerk on itunes will not be available for a few weeks. Some links on this site will also not work therefore. Basswerk Sessions Vol.3 is scheduled to be online everywhere on August 1st, 2008. You can get our stuff still in our own shop or on Beatport during this time.

This minimal groove Ep delivers two very elegantly reduced and modern sounding, groovy Drum & Bass tracks. "Blue Hour" by Subz & Matik continues where they stopped with their dubby hits "Dark Dub", "Hear Dis" or "Lighthouse Blues" on the Basswerk label in a more relaxed way. Rolling Maffia is a creative collective of Belgium, debuting with their first ever release on Basswerk Files called "Melting Slow" (with deep Bass).
