Basswerk feiert sein 10jähriges Partyjubiläum im Gebäude 9.

Im März 1999 gab es die erste Basswerk Party im Gebäude 9, und die folgenden 10 Jahre haben dazu beigetragen, das Drum & Bass Parties in Köln einmalige Erlebnisse sind und waren.
Basswerk DJ’s der ersten Stunde inklusive des aus Ungarn anreisenden Gründungsmitglieds Cheetah und J-Cut, der mit der ersten Party im Gebäude 9 beginnend über 5 Jahre beteiligt war sowie Jumpat als neuem Teammitglied und Resident soll es an diesem Abend 100% Basswerk Sound geben. Das bedeutet eine stilvolle und breite Mischung des Drum & Bass Kosmos in dem Tech-Funk genauso leidenschaftlich geliebt wird wie minimale Deepness oder dubbige Tunes mit Basslines fürs Herz und die DJs immer wieder überraschen können. Weitere Basswerk Helden der Vergangenheit wie MC Kingz oder Ralf (eine Hälfte von Bildregler) werden eingeladen und wir sind gespannt, ob sie sich das ganze von unten ansehen oder eine kleine Performance beisteuern.

The Incident is a young Hungarian ambitious trio. Steps (Lóránt Dienes), Fegz (Gábor Schmiedt), Syrus (László Varga) give the backbone to the team. The repertory of the trio is extremly wide, from the totally liquid music over the populared line to the scurrying, dank, rolling neuro. Their technical skills are very high already and all productions sound fresh. While Ambush is very dark and percussive D&B, Cleavage is more Neurofunk and has already been played in State Of Mind's Next-Level show. Our favorite is the musical and liquid "Vacate".

Basswerk was once again voted best German D&B label in 2008 after finishing second last year. For the first time, Basswerk files was also voted best overall mp3 Label! Apart from our complation we have put a lot of work this year into the Basswerk files label and released many new artists. Thanks to all our supporters and of course all artists who made the music that people like.

Matteo Cavo a.k.a. Maztek delivers a very strong and unique tune which at first was meant to become a Dubstep tune and later on got speeded up.Matt aka Maztek began his musical career playing as lead guitarist and percussionist, at the age of 18 years. He developed a passion for electronic music, in particular techno and drum and bass so he began to produce and playing in the Italian undergound scene. In 2005 Maztek created the "Subculture"project". First it was a free art movement based on art exhibitions and installations accompanied by music and live sets, then the project evolved into a union of several italian drum & bass crews.Now subculture is a small worldwide label and free net label . In 2006 Maztek released on Italian labels like Modulate recordings, Transistor Technology and of course Subculture . Meanwhile he plays all over his country and is waiting for his 50th release. This is the 3rd Italian Tech-Funk release on Basswerk Files after 2 releases from "Dabs".

Nick Dika alias Sable Gray from Boston, USA, delivers 3 deep and musical liquid D&B tracks on "Basswerk Files #018 Sunrise EP" with different energy showing that he is not limited to a certain vibe and for sure a lot more can be expected from him. Nearly a decade ago when stateside drum & bass had a reputation for aggressive, synthetic sonics, Sable Gray looked the opposite direction to soul music, Motown, house and intelligent d&b as his primary inspirations. With an ear for dusty, obscure samples and evolving arrangements, he slowly started piecing together his signature sound as a producer and DJ. With releases on Basswerk and BIOS and growing support from DJs around the world, Sable Gray is a name to watch in 2008. Recently he's kept busy playing across the States at nights like Secret Night of Science in NYC and The Seminar in Chicago, and holding down his residency at Boston drum & bass monthly SEISMIC. He also delivered a free Subrise "18" Promo Mix, available on Play.FM and on the internet.

Tief in der Halloween Nacht am Freitag, dem 31.10.2008 startet in Stadtgarten und Studio 672 eine grosse Halloween-Party von Basswerk, Pathfinder und The Shack statt!! Da im grossen Saal vorher ein Konzert stattfindet, geht es mit der Party oben erst etwas später los. Ab ca. 23 Uhr übernehmen Souleil und Dan45 das Studio 672 mit Funk/Breaks und im grossen Saal geht’s ab ca. 1 Uhr weiter mit D&B und den Hauptacts

Our Basswerk 3 Cd now finally arrived at itunes. There were problems due to the high number of tracks, therefore it was split into 3 CD Releases! So each CD is available as a single in there.
